Due to the diverse background of our entering first- year students and the recognized importance that each student should enter their thesis research years with a solid foundation of biomedical knowledge, this course has been designed to encompass topics considered fundamental to any student pursuing a Ph. D. The course will guide students into a biology world as seen by engineers, physicists, mathematicians and computer scientists. We will discuss topics such as: What is a predictive mathematical model? Which kinds of models describe biological reality? What are a dynamical behavior, stability, switching and stochasticity of a biological system? What resources do you need to start building a model? How models are stored, simulated and visualized? What are public databases and software tools available for a modeler? From Microscope to Model: Quantitative Approaches in Cell Biology. Faculty Rodionov. Lecture (Currently listed as Molecular Mechanisms of Signal Transduction). Modern cell biology builds upon a combination of sophisticated methods of high resolution microscopy and computational approaches to modeling of cell physiological processes in the context of the actual three dimensional structure of individual cells. The objective of this course is to develop a general view on the basic cell biology problems from a multidisciplinary perspective. The participating faculty members will give lectures, advise students on modeling exercises and supervise the microscopy laboratory in the key areas of cell biology and modeling. The following topics will be covered: Dynamics of cytoskeleton; growth control; organelle biogenesis; intracellular trafficking; nuclear transport; regulation of ion channels; cell locomotion; signal transduction. Labs will include hands- on experience in the following microscopy techniques: Fluorescence microscopy of living cells; microinjection; fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP); fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS); 4. MEDS 6. 49. 7 Journal Club in Cell Analysis and Modeling. Reading and discussion of research at the interface of physical and cell biological research with emphasis on molecular aspects. Students and postdoctoral fellows present and discuss with faculty a recent paper from the literature. Trainees in the Cell Analysis and Modeling Ao. C will also participate in CCAM Group meeting. The weekly CCAM Group Meeting features research updates from all CCAM- associated laboratories. Because this meeting is attended by all scientific personnel associated with the Center, it provides not only scientific continuity but also the social continuity that helps to maintain the unique interdisciplinary focus of the Ao. C as a whole. Talks at this meeting encompass all research areas, including cell and molecular biology, mathematical modeling, optical engineering, organic chemistry and computational techniques. The diversity of topics makes this a unique learning environment for both trainees and faculty. Seminar Program, Group Meetings and Journal Club. Students will have access to a diverse set of seminar programs and research meetings. The Center for Cell Analysis and Modeling (CCAM) Seminar Series features invited speakers of international renown. In addition to the main seminar program there is also a . As well, the independent study mechanism will be used to alleviate specific deficiencies in a cross- disciplinary area primarily through short, modular study rotations with an identified set of CCAM faculty members. These may be pursued in the first year, for example for students who lack sufficient biology background to successfully complete traditional first year courses, or may be pursued in the second year, for example for students lacking sufficient training in mathematics, physics, or optical engineering. The electives related to the degree contain computational and/or biophysical methods developed by faculty associated with CCAM and may be also listed in other programs, specifically Biomedical Engineering (BME). These courses include Bioinformatics (BME) and Computational Molecular Biology (BME 5. Patch 5. 4. 0 - Wo. WWiki - Wikia. A chest is wheeled out to Garrosh Hellscream, standing in the excavation site in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Garrosh examines the contents of the chest. Garrosh Hellscream says: Hmmmm, it thirsts! Garrosh Hellscream says: Bring it to the pools! A wild Taran Zhu appears! Garrosh walks past the fight between Garrosh's Horde and the Pandaren, Horde and Alliance. A wild Taran Zhu appears! Taran Zhu yells: Enough! Taran Zhu says: You have run rampant for far too long Hellscream! But that stops now! Garrosh is not happy. Garrosh Hellscream says: Mwahahahaha, step aside Pandaren, you confront a force beyond reckoning. Garrosh Hellscream says: Your father dabbled in powers beyond reckoning, where is he now? Garrosh Hellscream yells: AAAAAARRGGHHH! Garrosh Hellscream says: Mwahahahaha, step aside Pandaren, you confront a force beyond reckoning. A fight breaks out, Garrosh is physically stronger, but Taran Zhu is a ninja, so it's all good. Garrosh swings Gorehowl but embeds it in the wooden planks below. Taran Zhu swings back with his staff, only for Garrosh to grab it! Taran Zhu then attempts to blast Garrosh back with magic, but Garrosh is too powerful, and Taran Zhu slides back along the planks. Garrosh roars again, and swings at Taran Zhu, Taran Zhu catches the blow in his staff, and forms a quick disarming maneuver. Gorehowl slides past Taran Zhu. Garrosh doesn't like this, not one bit, Taran Zhu looks up, only to see Garrosh's first coming towards him. Garrosh punches him in the face! Taran Zhu falls off the plank, he's about to hit the water when he ninja jumps upwards and returns the blow with an upward strike on Garrosh's jaw. Taran Zhu says: I have fought beside the Trolls, Tauren and others, you are nothing like them. As Taran Zhu launches himself in the air, to perform a final ninja kick blow. However Garrosh leaps aside, and Taran Zhu gets his foot stuck in the planks. Garrosh grabs a nearby chain and whips it round at Taran Zhu, he then uses it to pull Taran Zhu to him, impaling him on Gorehowl. Garrosh Hellscream yells: They are no longer a part of my new Horde! Taran Zhu says: The world will.. I'm counting on it. Vision of a lot of ships coming for Garrosh, Horde, Alliance, Mercenaries, and all other associated hanger ons. Impaled upon the spires of Orgrimmar. Garrosh Hellscream says: The armies of the world will come for me, and within my fortress they will face all the terrible creatures I have wrought, the boundless power I have mastered. And one by one they will fall at my feet. Any who would rise against my new Horde will be impaled upon the spires of Orgrimmar! Garrosh Hellscream says: You Pandaren try to bury your hate and your anger, but such power cannot be contained. Garrosh Hellscream yells: It must be unleashed! Yshaarj's heart. Garrosh breaks open the chest, showing Y'Shaarj's beating heart, Taran Zhu watches saddened, as a butterfly turns the colour of a sha, and then turns to dust. Taran Zhu says: A time will come, when you will answer for your crimes! Garrosh tips the chest into the waters. The Vale is destroyed. Garrosh Hellscream yells: I answer to no one! A massive vortex of evil Sha energies erupts from the pool, making a terrible mess of the Veil. Garrosh walks along the planks as the massive Sha explosion takes place behind him. Garrosh Hellscream says: All who challenge me will burn in the fires of my hatred! In The Realm of The Senses (1. Oshima consigue transmitir perfectamente c. Proibido em sua primeira exibi.
